brie&dave
brie&dave are a sketch comedy duo featuring award-winning comedians Brie Watson (Second City Faculty) and Dave Hietalahti (The Locksmiths,) formerly known as “The Utilidors.”
They changed their name during the pandemic because lots of things changed. Also, they grew tired of helping people pronounce “Utilidors.”
brie&dave completed a successful run of their sketch revue “Hearsay” at the 2023 Hamilton Fringe, a show in which each sketch was inspired from a song on the famous Fleetwood Mac album “Rumours”
brie&dave have been performing sketch comedy together since 2014. They met as Second City Conservatory students and have been nourishing their stage chemistry and silliness ever since on and off various stages in Toronto and the Golden Horseshoe, as well as in the US at the Boston Comedy Arts Festival and NYC Sketchfest.
In 2017, brie&dave were recipients of the Sketch Comedy Project Fund from TOsketchfest to create their comedy pilot “Time Slicers.”
